Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are, how TKCORE AI (“we”, “us”) uses them on our website and web apps (the “Site”), how long they may last, and how you can manage your choices. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. Do you need an API or account for cookie preferences?

No. When you choose Reject All, Accept All, or Save preferences after Customise on our cookie banner, we record your choice in your browser (using localStorage). That is enough for us to remember consent on repeat visits and to load optional analytics only when you allow it. You do not need a backend endpoint solely for this banner. If you later want a server-side audit log of consent, that would be optional and separate from the basic behaviour described here.

2. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you load a site in your browser. They help the Site work, stay secure, remember settings, and (where you agree) understand usage. We also use similar technologies such as localStorage for theme choice and for storing your cookie consent flag—those are not HTTP cookies, but they serve comparable purposes on your device.

3. Session cookies and persistent cookies

Session cookies last until you close your browser (or the session ends). Persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them (for example via browser settings or clearing site data). Exact durations depend on the cookie or provider; see the summary table below where we list what we control directly.

4. How we use cookies and similar technologies

We group uses roughly as follows:

Strictly necessary. Needed for core operation and security—for example keeping you signed in when you log in (session cookies issued by our servers), CSRF protection where applicable, and load balancing or bot protection if provided by our infrastructure partners.
Functional preferences. Remembering UI choices such as light/dark theme (stored locally as tkc-theme in localStorage) and remembering that you accepted cookies (stored locally as tkc_cookie_consent_v1).
Performance and analytics. With your consent (“Accept all”), we load Google Analytics (Google Tag / gtag) to measure traffic and improve the Site. Until you accept, we do not initialise Google Analytics from our Nuxt application bundle.

5. Third-party cookies and services

Some cookies are set by third parties—for example Google Analytics after consent, or authentication-related flows when you use third-party identity providers (such as Google Sign-In). Those providers have their own privacy and cookie notices. Third-party sites we link to may set their own cookies; we do not control those.

6. Managing and deleting cookies

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may affect sign-in or features. Guides for common browsers:

Chrome — Manage cookies
Safari — Manage cookies
Firefox — Clear cookies and site data
Microsoft Edge — Delete cookies

Clearing cookies or site data may remove your consent flag and theme preference; we may show the banner again until you make a fresh choice.

7. Cookie and storage summary (TKCORE-controlled)

Names and lifetimes may vary slightly when vendors rotate identifiers; this table reflects what our front end sets or loads by design.

Name / key Type Purpose Duration
tkc_cookie_consent_v1 localStorage Stores your banner choice: reject all, accept all, or customised preferences (including whether analytics is on). Until you clear site data
tkc-theme localStorage Remembers light or dark UI theme. Until you clear site data
Session cookie(s) from our API origin HTTP cookie Maintain authenticated sessions when you sign in. Session or as set by server
_ga, _ga_* HTTP cookie (third party) Google Analytics — only after you accept via the banner. Per Google’s defaults (often ~2 years for advertiser features variants)

8. Changes

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and adjust the “Last updated” date. For significant changes we may provide additional notice where appropriate.
